I say used to b/c I haven't blogged in such a long time and I certainly haven't been good at keeping you up to date on things. I posted this on my family blog and thought you might like to read it. Maybe this will get me back into the swing of blogging again!! </div><div style="text-align: center;">It is 2011.... As a young girl I always thought about the future and what Gods plan was for my life. I remember thinking about 2011 particularly and thinking about how far away it seemed at that time. I often wondered if I would be married or have children as well. Did you ever do that as a child?? Think about the future....that is? Well it is 2011 and time has flown by since I was that little girl. Alot has changed since then and I am so thankful for all the many blessings the Lord has blessed me with. </div><div style="text-align: center;">I am not one to make new years resolutions because most of the time they don't last (actually all the time they never last.) I can only think of two people in my entire life who actually stuck with a resolution for one year. That is pretty committed, huh??</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">The only time I ever made a resolution was when I was in 8th or 9th grade. I (along with some other friends of the family) committed to not eating candy or drinking soda for one year. I can honestly say I MADE IT!!! See I am not a big candy eater, I just love cookies, ice cream, and pies, and I only drank water so it wasn't that hard for me. I know you are probably wondering why I did it then, right? </div><div style="text-align: center;">Well if we could make for the one year then our parents would give us $100 at the end of the year. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Not a bad deal for an 8th grader, huh!?!?</div><div style="text-align: center;">Good ole' memories!! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Well I say all that to say that this past December I decided it was time to try something new. I thought January would be a great time to start but I didn't really make a resolution. I just sat down and talked with my husband one night and told him I wanted to try some things this year. If it works great and if not then I can say I tried. </div><div style="text-align: center;">The idea I had was to have a garden and to make most of our food from scratch.... I'm crazy, I know!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I have wanted to make more of the food we eat from scratch for a long time now but haven't really taken the initiative to do it. I have also wanted to have a garden but we have never really had the time or place to have one. </div><div style="text-align: center;">So what I am going to try to do is prepare healthier food with the least amount of preservatives/pesticides as possible....Which means more things will be made from scratch and most of the food will be organic. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Don't get me wrong, I am still going to make all the things we really like to eat but it will just take more planning and prepping in the kitchen then normal. </div><div style="text-align: center;">I have talked with a couple who lives here in RH who have a 1 acre garden and also my husband's grandparents who had a garden for many years in there back yard and grew up on farms in west Florida. Unfortunately I was told that where we live we have to many wild animals and they will eat the garden up.... SO my bubble got burst there. Unless I buy an electric fence to keep the critters out I will be waisting my money on seed. And I am NOT buying an electric fence right now! So I guess now that I have the space and time(haha) the little critters have put a stop to the garden I wanted to have. I still think I am going to try some stuff on our screened-in porch where I can move them around in pots to get sun and keep them safe from the animals in our woods. We will see how that goes. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I am not going to be able to blog about what I make all the time or whats growing (or not growing) in our yard but I can get you started on something I made today...</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I attempted bread. For some of you making homemade bread is second nature but to me it's not. I always found it easier to pick up a fresh loaf from the Publix bakery. I always thought that working with yeast was harder then it should be but then for Thanksgiving my mom and Omi (my German Grandma) showed my sister and I how to make easy homemade yeast rolls and how to make spaetzle<span style="background-color: white;"> </span>(A homemade noodle.) I realized then that it isn't that hard and if all else fails you can make another batch! </div><div style="text-align: center;"> For the price I can make 4 loaves of homemade bread I can buy one loaf at the grocery store. Interesting, right? </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigQBwc6tZQ-cZ1LNtEwbzPNaxHN25iLrnvDph_EfvWbGkX5bXAvyNwD0VSsP2EUxRmOmEL6BTh2_ZL7atenRyi1x0cLHw5xTdIbZUpZtzH6jMN1WZsGhLHsT_iLYOJFKeDz0G2x7nOD7g/s1600/Loaf-of-Sandwich-Bread.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="226" n4="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigQBwc6tZQ-cZ1LNtEwbzPNaxHN25iLrnvDph_EfvWbGkX5bXAvyNwD0VSsP2EUxRmOmEL6BTh2_ZL7atenRyi1x0cLHw5xTdIbZUpZtzH6jMN1WZsGhLHsT_iLYOJFKeDz0G2x7nOD7g/s320/Loaf-of-Sandwich-Bread.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Well my bread only took 2 1/2 hours to make including the rising twice and the baking. I am looking forward to making a vast variety of homemade foods in my kitchen this year. You should give it a try and if you have questions give me a shout!! <br />
So if I can make my bread look like this the first time, then you should at least give it a try!!<br />

Seriously!!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Well I am finally getting a chance to blog for a quick second. </div><div style="text-align: center;">About our life in Georgia... Well It has been beautiful. The weather has been amazingly gorgeous and we have been spending all our mornings outside playing at the park or in the yard. It is starting to get dark earlier at night and that is bringing us in sooner then we would like in the evenings. I could handle the weather being colder but other then that it has been great! </div><div style="text-align: center;">The boys are growing like weeds. Ethan has finished up with his soccer and absolutely loved it. We are planning on doing T-ball in the spring so for now we are taking a break from sports and will pick back up in the spring. Tucker is starting to say more words and he also likes to copy his brother more and more. Which means Ethan is learning what is means to be a ....good example! </div><div style="text-align: center;">They are really cute together when they decide to actually play together. I spent the morning cleaning today and they played the entire time. It was really cute to listen to them play, get along, and be safe while doing it! Ethan kept telling Tucker he was the baby and he had to listen and do what he said....I'm not to sure Tucker new what he was saying but he went along with it. </div><div style="text-align: center;">As for Gus, well he is working alot, but doing great! I am so proud of how hard he works and his desire to love, provide, and lead the family. I am doing well... Just staying busy being a mom and wife! Which I love. </div><div style="text-align: center;">I haven't set any time aside to do alot of photography lately but I am going to try and do better with that. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I was able to get some pictures of us out on in the front yard a few weeks back....</div><div style="text-align: center;">So I thought I would share them with you if you haven't already seen them on Facebook or on my family blog. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHgdaNlSm0_FX3i8HqVuEOmrS4P__jMi51Pcme8nqG2q0baACtJkvg01bPrVV5X_o-7_YYn-J_A68if8wOm2Y1WY-HDwgKGyeAMN4Iu_NuwSLcavLziR6UJInzg88_OJqZMkPeGgruLx0/s1600/DSC_0138.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHgdaNlSm0_FX3i8HqVuEOmrS4P__jMi51Pcme8nqG2q0baACtJkvg01bPrVV5X_o-7_YYn-J_A68if8wOm2Y1WY-HDwgKGyeAMN4Iu_NuwSLcavLziR6UJInzg88_OJqZMkPeGgruLx0/s320/DSC_0138.JPG" width="214" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Enjoy!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSggbVTBH3Y7VcHjjzEmAxJxrdCd2uc8_5J40XiwNYqVF0dqouOd9lnz0mht1bylrVd0Pyv5somcS4XS2PKLPC4tsJym-NjdLXOqhO1gwbwrS9Pdu68KcOL2BjNWqsEKbq7h_JsGnt6Zo/s1600/DSC_0148.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSggbVTBH3Y7VcHjjzEmAxJxrdCd2uc8_5J40XiwNYqVF0dqouOd9lnz0mht1bylrVd0Pyv5somcS4XS2PKLPC4tsJym-NjdLXOqhO1gwbwrS9Pdu68KcOL2BjNWqsEKbq7h_JsGnt6Zo/s320/DSC_0148.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />

We we were so excited to be able to meet up with friends and spend a few days vacationing this past month. We spent our days either on the beach, in the pool, or boating. Pretty much in the water alot of the time. It was so beautiful and the water was very refreshing. The guys did go deep sea fishing one day and had a blast doing that.They were worn out afterwards but I think they would have done it again the next day if they could have. <br />
Tucker and Chandler were teething while we were there but they were great troopers.<br />
When we got home I realized that Tucker had 4 back teeth coming in. No wonder he was a bit fussy. I can't believe I missed that! I mean I knew he was teething but I couldn't ever tell how many teeth were coming in so when I was able to get a good look and saw 4 I was shocked!<br />
<br />
So we had a wonderful time and we can't wait to go back. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The first set of pictures are of us at the pool, beach, and on the boat!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

Here is our view from the condo and the main living room space. You can see Tucker by the small round table. He was pretty happy to be out of his car-seat after being in it for about 7 hours.<br />
What was also really neat was the Lettow's, Broome's and us were all able to stay in the same condo. Which made it alot more fun b/c we got to spend so much more time together.<br />

I am having a hard time finding time to post on the blog these days. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">First reason for not blogging lately, we are in our new place. We moved July 5th and July 9th. Woo--I am glad that is over and don't want to do it again for a very long time! The hard part wasn't just having two little ones but all the boxes and everything was so overwhelming that most of the time I didn't know where to start. I was also sad because of the friends and family I was no longer near. Well--I still am sad about that. I don't know that you ever get over moving from a town you have grown up in your entire life. But I am very glad for Gus and know that this is the right thing for us. </div><div style="text-align: center;">With lots of help from Gus we have been able to put a big dip into the unpacking. I think I have 4 large boxes sitting in the living room to unpack and then about 4 medium boxes left to unpack in a closet. So we are getting there!!</div><div style="text-align: center;">Gus of coarse has a small to-do list and the garage to finish but I am feeling really happy about our accomplishments this past week and a-half. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">The boys are doing well. Ethan is in Vacation Bible School this week and then I have him registered for another VBS next week. We are signing him up for Soccer starting September and then I am registering him for T-ball as well. I think we are all looking forward to when that starts. As for Tucker he has been a bear lately. He is cutting another tooth, he's stubborn, doesn't get along with his brother, and is just plain grumpy. I am praying for this to quickly pass! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Second reason for not blogging, I just got Internet, phone, and cable on Saturday. Our neighborhood is a fiber-optic neighborhood. So we don't get to have Comcast or AT&T as providers. Everything is really difficult to do. It took the guy over 5 hours to install our Internet, Cable, and Phone on Saturday. Yeah--Not exactly what I had in mind to do all day nor did we know it would take that long--but hey--We are connected now! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">So there's my short version of our life lately. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Oh and this past Sunday we were ecstatic to have some friends stop by on there way home to Florida from there weekend in Savannah. We had a wonderful time talking the afternoon away, swimming that evening, and having dinner with them. I told Gus after they left that their visit was exactly what we needed. So--you guys know who you are--Thank You So Much for Visiting US!! We loved it!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Anyone else who wants to stop in to see us, please know your welcome. We love having people over!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I haven't had much time to take pictures but I am planning on taking some of the boys this week. They are growing so fast and getting so big. I will be sure to do that soon so you don't miss out on there cute little faces!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">That is all for now, folks. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Have a great rest of the week! </div><br />

The longest it has ever been since I started this blog which was back in the fall of 2009. Lately it has been--well-- CRAZY-- is an understatement. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Recently and when I say recently I mean within the last week we found out that we are moving. </div><div style="text-align: center;">We knew it was a possibility but we just never knew when. We also didn't expect (well I guess I should say "I") didn't expect it to be this soon. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I know I have talked about trying to sell our home in the past and it just hasn't happened.With us planning on moving before July 10th we knew we would have to make some decisions. Our Realtor was really sweet and said she would let us out of our contract so we could try to rent the house. Which is what we are going to do. </div><div style="text-align: center;">I listed it on Craigslist and have talked with 4-5 people (who all check out--no scams) and are going to look at our house. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Woop--woop... I am pretty excited about that but I just pray that we will be able to pick the right renters for us. It is a scary thing renting your home for the first time. I sure don't want anyone coming in an ruining things. So we are being very careful, getting background checks amongst a few other things. So hopefully no worries there. </div><div style="text-align: center;"> So yes, I am moving sometime between July 8th-July 10th to Savannah Ga. I am busy making appointments for renters, packing, playing with the kids, calling and e-mailing on homes for us, and much more. I feel like I'm running a circus!!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">But I am thankful my husband has a job and I will always support him. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"> Well I must run for now. I need to finish a few things before our two appointments tonight. Hopefully I will get a chance to update you next week once we decide on a place. So for now-- Have a great rest of the day!</div><br />

I can't believe your already here. </div><div style="text-align: center;">This long weekend we had such a blast but it went by really fast. We really enjoyed our time in the sun and was finally able to get the boys to the beach for a day. They absolutely loved it, but I knew they would. I mean what boys doesn't like to dig in the sand?</div><div style="text-align: center;">It was also nice to spend time catching up with friends and family over the long weekend. So I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend just as I did. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">So now to business....</div><div style="text-align: center;">I have been giving it much thought the past few weeks ( month) and last night I finally had that moment where I decided that I was going to go through with this thought. I am sad to say but I am going to slow down on my blogging for Mommy Buzz. This does <i>NOT</i> mean I am going to forget about the blog or stop blogging altogether, I am just going to slow down. And who knows, some weeks I might post everyday and some weeks I might not post but once. I don't know what to tell you to expect but I do know this--<br />
This decision was not an easy decision. I feel as if I am sorta giving up on something that I recently started but that is not the case. I am simply slowing down and as much as I love to blog, to share ideas, to give you new recipes, advice etc. I won't stay away much.<br />
Honestly, there are a few things that are taking a bit more of my time then what they should and my priorities need to take priority. So this means something(s) must give (or go) and in this case it happens to be slowing down the amount of times I blog. So... please don't stop following/reading/commenting/or using the blog archives to read old post and check back often for new post.<br />
<br />
I appreciate those of you who read Mommy Buzz. Thanks for understanding and hopefully I will be able to pick back up sooner rather then later. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Talk to you soon!</div><div style="text-align: left;">Thanks,</div><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/85797/kaevans/8f4adb2181ce7855376f1d9a0ad460db.png" style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent; border: 0pt none ! important;" /></a> <br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">Open Light Studio's is a professional husband and wife team who give us tips each month on how to better yourself with the camera.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Here is June's Tip:</div><div style="text-align: center;">Framing</div><div style="text-align: center;">Look at how your subject is framed in the photo. Are there distracting elements in the photo, like a tree limb coming out of their head? Is your subject too small in the photo? Seek to create an interesting composition with your subject by placing them slightly off centered to the picture. Be creative and try new ways of framing. This will make your photos more dynamic.</div><div style="text-align: center;"> Here is a photo taken by Open Light Studios.</div><div style="text-align: center;">This might help with this tip...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgB0BRyv1TzS-pUBfBye44MPlTgi0qc7F07a8jtrU-WeOk-VfBh2UAmJVFY5-QvDbIg8Fl96GSVr-u4i1jnvhnCqVkH3u6pPY38T2k5StC8LXN93zOA3zf_P_7Uta61lcByK4wk64YteQs/s1600/SavannahBridalPhotography-025.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgB0BRyv1TzS-pUBfBye44MPlTgi0qc7F07a8jtrU-WeOk-VfBh2UAmJVFY5-QvDbIg8Fl96GSVr-u4i1jnvhnCqVkH3u6pPY38T2k5StC8LXN93zOA3zf_P_7Uta61lcByK4wk64YteQs/s320/SavannahBridalPhotography-025.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

We always enjoy being together as a family so when holiday's come around we get excited. </div><div style="text-align: center;">I saw this recipe and wanted to share it with you as a thought for the weekend. Appetizers are always a great crowd pleaser while waiting for the main food to be served. I have made a dip similar to this before with taco seasoning added to the sour cream. You could always add it the sour cream in this recipe and I think it would add a little more flavor. You gotta let me know if you try it.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;">Southwestern Layered Bean Dip</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3enCThqGyHTLHZ-oZPn1_iB4wu1R1EvoqjE1DKqVATcTigSsGlosFXFF3O7bNXGpbqDdT5yUxWbSaiU2g_MtkUsHnI4g_JDcZl_ey25yFDC6z7NTAUCIzDi5Y0Lxd10htiVRQ4LFAFYM/s1600/dip.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3enCThqGyHTLHZ-oZPn1_iB4wu1R1EvoqjE1DKqVATcTigSsGlosFXFF3O7bNXGpbqDdT5yUxWbSaiU2g_MtkUsHnI4g_JDcZl_ey25yFDC6z7NTAUCIzDi5Y0Lxd10htiVRQ4LFAFYM/s200/dip.JPG" width="200" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">Ingredient:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><ul><li class="ingredient"><span style="font-size: small;">1 16-ounce can fat-free refried beans preferably spicy</span></li>

On Monday I shared with you a little bit about my sister moving away. Her husband has this amazing opportunity to start a new job in Baton Rough, Louisiana. If you know where I live then you know that it is a long ways away from here. </div><div style="text-align: center;">So as you can see we will not be seeing each other as often as we do now.<br />
The move has come on pretty quickly and they have been told they will need to move by July.<br />
They have already been in search of a house and have found one! Yay--that is a huge answer to prayer. And from what I hear the place with be perfect for them.<br />
As you can see this is an exciting opportunity for them but still very sad to see them go. I didn't think I would grow up and live so far apart from sisters and family. But we gotta do what we gotta do and I completely understand that you can't always live in the city you grew up in.<br />
So when you think about us say a pray for her and me as we prepare for this big change in mine/hers/ and our boys lives.<br />
<br />
Hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend! <br />

I think it was for numerous reasons--that seem so petty now. <br />
Now hear me out--I was not dreading the week with my children or my husband--it was the week in general.I wasn't taking one day at a time but looking at it as a whole. Still-- this isn't something to brag about. I know am being way to honest but there is a point to this.<br />
And you have to admit there has been a week or two in your life that you sorta dreaded. So don't make me sound soooo bad. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Don't take this post as a meltdown or call me a nut case...Because I can assure you I am far from both. </div><div style="text-align: center;"> It is that I realized early on--thankfully-- that I was being completely selfish. I needed a change of heart and I needed it fast. My priorities needed to change and I needed to just enjoy the time I had with my children and give thanks for all I have been given. <br />
<br />
And now, I can't believe it is Thursday. We have had rain everyday at our house but we have made the best of those times. The boys have had a chance to get out and run off some energy and now today, the sun is shining. All those little petty things have gone away and to me nothing is more rewarding then being a stay at home mom/wife. I am so thankful that I was reminded this early on in the week and was able to get my act together with God and my family. It is amazing how we can become so overwhelmed at small and very unimportant things. I refocused my thoughts, my prayers, and thankfully I was brought back to reality that life may not always be fun, we may not always have something planned everyday to go out and do but it will be ok. Cherish those quiet times with the kids and don't be so uptight about the laundry and a clean house.<br />
<br />
God had a plan for me this week. It was to get right with him. <br />
Let me share with you real quick about our house--Each week we show our house on an average of 4-6 times. If you didn't know before you know now that we are trying to sell it. Not the best time to sell but we are giving it a shot. This week our house hasn't shown once. Which I honestly feel like it was God giving me a break from having the house perfect everyday. I will kick it in first gear today and get it ready for the weekend but I am thankful for this little break we were given from having to pick up and leave at a moments notice. <br />
<br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I say all this to say, I am not perfect, I have flaws, I make plenty of mistakes in my childrearing, and I'm not always right (which I will admit.) But I have a loving and gracious God who was patient with me and guided me as the necessary changes took place. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. <br />

</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Most of us don't have a room dedicated solely to a home office. Or at least I should say "We Don't Anymore". You know--as the the little ones come along rooms and space get turned into "other" spaces. In spite of our limitations, we still want our homes to be attractive, personal and inspiring. So, if we are short on space and want to keep our expenses low, how do we manage to have a well-organized office and still have our homes look great? In doing some photo research, I came across a few photos of some clever home office organization ideas I thought I’d pass along for inspiration.</div><div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b style="font-weight: normal;">Desks can be expensive, but you can make your own to suit your needs.</b> My own personal desk is actually two file cabinets with a desktop for a surface.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Like this one below </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsk03DxNEvW3t1Qy_rIikVHU3Q8B4MeQEcyJrGOzB6YgKh_JdWM1jlMeLHnBH1H2a77C7xpGvaROe7OxC2o0pV4DOdzleWQ-6DV8d0NSS4404P42dCBxUdleLE0VgEK3UuYp9QybUKJ1k/s1600/office+desk.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsk03DxNEvW3t1Qy_rIikVHU3Q8B4MeQEcyJrGOzB6YgKh_JdWM1jlMeLHnBH1H2a77C7xpGvaROe7OxC2o0pV4DOdzleWQ-6DV8d0NSS4404P42dCBxUdleLE0VgEK3UuYp9QybUKJ1k/s320/office+desk.jpg" /><span style="font-size: x-small;">(</span></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">(Picture from Potterybarn-Desk from Potterybarn)</span></div><div style="text-align: center;">I find that works well for me, and is definitely something you could make on a budget. Even old ugly file cabinets can be spray painted to give them a fresh look. Another suggestion is to buy or find table legs to attach to an old door. Or, use an old table fixed up with a new paint color. Instantly personalized desks!</div><div style="text-align: center;"> Like this one</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJZgZGKp-pCtuoOkyvZAeY_YQQehcPfnV6rCy8A5VVLkJq6x02wJEvpYA__xCn-QowbWL34Vfn9T4-lnPZgYLPNk6N2B4rj6K4mEbrnXu8F5ObIzEE77DuJc4VDOLybUZkZ7E4ZhofUl4/s1600/office+desk+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJZgZGKp-pCtuoOkyvZAeY_YQQehcPfnV6rCy8A5VVLkJq6x02wJEvpYA__xCn-QowbWL34Vfn9T4-lnPZgYLPNk6N2B4rj6K4mEbrnXu8F5ObIzEE77DuJc4VDOLybUZkZ7E4ZhofUl4/s320/office+desk+1.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">(Better Homes and Garden)</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">Similarly, you can take several old file cabinets and give them new life with paint and new knobs. Instant credenza! Or, find an old dresser and give it a fun new paint job. Dressers are perfect for extra storage just about anywhere, including your home office! Frame a white board with wood to create your own custom message area. </div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img alt="" height="400" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2088/2382596119_0ae1199edf.jpg?v=0" width="300" /><img alt="" height="400" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3211/2383428286_7789a7a330.jpg?v=0" width="300" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">With a little color coordination and creative storage containers, you can store office supplies right out in the open in just about any room of the house. You can cover storage boxes or even shoe boxes with paper to coordinate to your decor. Baskets also work well to corral papers and supplies.</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img alt="" height="400" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2333/2383428574_41f30fcd70.jpg?v=0" width="300" /><img alt="" height="400" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3175/2382596591_60017f9679.jpg?v=0" width="300" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img alt="" height="400" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2266/2383428500_3e32a3ee90.jpg?v=0" width="300" /><img alt="" height="400" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2011/2383428126_69f15723c5.jpg?v=0" width="300" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">Or, use tables with skirts or curtains that coordinate with your decor to help hide some of the clutter. Find wasted places under counters, shelves, or tables to claim some space for storage. Perfect “creative concealments!”</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img alt="" height="400" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3129/2382596479_ca6eee27fe.jpg?v=0" width="300" /><img alt="" height="400" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2320/2383428340_85da1d3de5.jpg?v=0" width="300" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">In small quarters, you can utilize any corner to hide some supplies! A skirted table in a dining room can hide file cabinets or shelving, and a coffee table can be topped with cushions to create both a charming seat and a place to stash supplies. You can also organize a closet to contain your home office needs.</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img alt="" height="330" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3067/2382596441_497a9cdd1f.jpg?v=0" width="248" /><img alt="" height="330" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3238/2382596213_e6975d5673.jpg?v=0" width="247" /><img alt="" height="327" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2110/2382596285_636412dbe1.jpg" width="233" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><img alt="" height="400" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2370/2383602898_ed3f83b430.jpg?v=0" width="400" /><br />
<div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">Finally, I wanted to share an adorable space I found. This was the ladies personal and functional office in a little nook next to a laundry room. She infused the space with her own personality, including a pretty accent wall in spring green and storage boxes and baskets that complete her look. She packed a lot of punch and usefulness in what could’ve ended up as wasted corner.Very cute!</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2RBISjulhXwbOvluw2MoO8XGAMbY0gXVFRWXLR59Nty4mgxyh1WcSZFhtS4wm05lRSid2ygpzls1kRX0is9ulP2L7WPgt61LeObcxEoVzcKp8aQNFGJjkUUnPEftlz6cltHJ3ArDGOGE/s1600/office+desk+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2RBISjulhXwbOvluw2MoO8XGAMbY0gXVFRWXLR59Nty4mgxyh1WcSZFhtS4wm05lRSid2ygpzls1kRX0is9ulP2L7WPgt61LeObcxEoVzcKp8aQNFGJjkUUnPEftlz6cltHJ3ArDGOGE/s320/office+desk+2.jpg" /></a></div><br />

Since I am feeling better I thought what a better topic then food for Memorial Day? My thoughts started racing with ideas but I wanted to keep it simple and budget friendly. After thinking about what recipes I could use I had to think--reality Krysten--reality...What are people really going to eat? </div><div style="text-align: center;">Well I know people will cook out, have some side dishes, and of course dessert.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Simple enough.</div><div style="text-align: center;">These are easy and tasty dishes that your family will really enjoy. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Stuffed Turkey Burger<br />
Fruit Salad Delight</div><div style="text-align: center;">Apple Almond Salad</div><div style="text-align: center;">Frosted Fudge Brownies</div><br />
<b>Stuffed Turkey Burger</b><br />

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper<br />
1-2 tbsp olive oil<br />

I am sad to say that I can barely remember most of my weekend due to the fact that I spent it in a fog. See, this past weekend I ended up with a sinus cold that was not fun. You all have had one a time or two so you understand what it is like to be a mom and be sick. It doesn't work for us, does it? </div><div style="text-align: center;">This morning I am still trying to get over it but as for today I am actually aware of whats going on around me.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I am usually not the one to get sick, actually I never get sick. Until this past weekend... </div><div style="text-align: center;">But my sweet husband was such a trooper and helped out tremendously.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I don't have much to write about this morning other then I am thankful for the Lord's timing on everything. Sometimes we don't understand why things happen when they do.</div><div style="text-align: center;">But...</div><div style="text-align: center;">God is in complete control and he has a reason for <i>EVERYTHING</i>. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I will quickly share a brief part of what I am talking about and then fill you in later this week. </div><div style="text-align: center;">My middle sister, Brittany, is moving away with her husband and boys. We are sad to see them go but I know the Lord has a special plan for them.</div><div style="text-align: center;">As of now they will be leaving the beginning of July. This doesn't give us long to spend the weeks letting our boys play while I help her pack. </div><div style="text-align: center;">I know the Lord will make me strong for her during this time. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Please say a prayer for us (and her) when you think about it! </div><div style="text-align: center;">I am excited for her family to have this opportunity and even though their will be tears as they leave they will be happy tears.Not happy to see her go, but happy for them...And they are excited about this so I am happy for that as well.<br />
I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for them as they begin this next phase of there life.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">As for now--Have a great Monday</div><br />

</div></div><div style="text-align: left;">Ingredient:</div><div style="text-align: left;">2 1/4 cups all purpose flour<br />
1 teaspoon baking powder</div><div style="text-align: left;">1/2 teaspoon baking soda</div><div style="text-align: left;">1 tablespoon ground cinnamon</div><div style="text-align: left;">1 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger</div><div style="text-align: left;">1 teaspoon ground allspice<br />
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg<br />
1/2 teaspoon salt<br />
1 cup brown sugar<br />
1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature<br />
1 1/2 cups solid pack pumpkin<br />
1 egg<br />
1 teaspoon vanilla<br />
<br />
Directions:<br />
Position a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 350 f. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, nutmeg, and salt, onto a sheet of waxed paper.<br />
In the work bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat together the brown sugar and butter on low speed until just combined. Add the pumpkin, then the egg, beating well. Add the vanilla and beat until combined. <br />
Add the flour mixture and beat on low until just incorporated, scraping down the sides of the bowl. Using a small ice-cream scoop or 2 tablespoon scoop, drop about 2 tablespoons of batter onto one of the prepared baking sheets and repeat, spacing them at least 2 inches apart.<br />
Bake one sheet at a time for about 15 minutes each, or until the cakes begin to crack an are firm to the touch. Let the cakes cool on the sheet for at least 5 minutes before transferring them to a rack to cool completely. <br />
Makes about 30 four inch cakes<br />
<br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Cream Cheese Filling:<br />
Ingredient<br />
4 ounces of cream cheese, at room temperature<br />
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature<br />
3 1/2 cups (one 16 ounce box) confectioners' sugar<br />
1 teaspoon vanilla extract<br />
<br />
Directions:<br />
In the work bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat together the cream cheese and butter on medium speed. Add the sugar and beat on low speed until combined. Add the vanilla and increase the speed to medium, beat until cream and smooth, about 4 minutes. <br />
<br />
Add in between the cooled cakes and enjoy!<br />

I'm gonna talk about making Whoopie Pies. </div><div style="text-align: center;">There is a <i>BIG</i> difference. </div><div style="text-align: center;">But these will put a bounce in your step, put a smile on your face, and a song in your heart. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">About a week and a half ago I mentioned that I bought this book on my trip to Cape Cod. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgH8k1onzm-yDCImueIKKqKvgYVOvVpF2nnvefgB6nZ2zefUK28Wleo13UhQdMc191H32DLWLT8F_LVabUnkgKRem0I5SxnSyOLHNzBD9IxfBNSfd7E-0PhwLMpL3d7eU-e4CaU1t18qt8/s1600/Whoopie+Pie.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgH8k1onzm-yDCImueIKKqKvgYVOvVpF2nnvefgB6nZ2zefUK28Wleo13UhQdMc191H32DLWLT8F_LVabUnkgKRem0I5SxnSyOLHNzBD9IxfBNSfd7E-0PhwLMpL3d7eU-e4CaU1t18qt8/s320/Whoopie+Pie.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">I had never heard of <i>Whoopie Pies </i>until I saw this book and started researching them more. </div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">So now you ask--Whoopie Pies -- Is it a cake? Is it a cookie? </div><div style="text-align: center;">It is a deliciously soft and sweet cream-filled snack that is the shape of a cookie but cake light in taste.</div><div style="text-align: center;"> The Internet is abuzz with recipes and stories of whoopie pie folklore, while customers everywhere are descending on bakeries in droves demanding these delectable treats. </div><div style="text-align: center;">There is a new trend brewing in desserts that will be making its way to bakeries, weddings and event tables this next year. I'm calling it now--You heard it here first--</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">This adorable book—the only cookbook devoted entirely to whoopie pies—features more than 40 mix-and-match recipes. With a puffy cover as soft as cake, plenty of color photos and hand-drawn illustrations, dozens of DIY decorating instructions, fun facts and baking tips, <i>Whoopie Pies</i> will make a welcome addition to any baker's bookshelf. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

It kept me busy for a few hours a week last year while living in Savannah.The boys were obviously younger --Ethan took a nap still-- and Tucker was about 4 months old so he was still sleeping alot and not that mobile. It was easy to take these classes during the afternoon and work on the assignment throughout the rest of the week. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">When I started these classes my goal was to better myself with my new DSLR camera. Now remember--I knew nothing except how to use my point and shoot camera and how to use my DSLR in Auto. I am still a long way off from where I would like to be but these classes helped me get a jump start and I learned so much. I am happy to say that I keep my camera off Auto now.<br />
Open Light Studios was great to work with as well and served as a great hands on teacher for me. After all, I am a visual learner and it beat grabbing a book and reading through it. </div><div style="text-align: center;">The books I bought completely confused me-- believe me-- I tried-- to understand them.</div><div style="text-align: center;">I'm now convinced you can't learn everything through a class book. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">This year <a href="http://creativelive.com/courses/digitalphotography/">Creative Tech</a> is offering another class called-Basics of Digital Photography-</div><div style="text-align: center;">It is a 10 week class and can be free to you if you are able to watch the course LIVE or you can pay to own the classes. If you pay for them you would save them to your hard drive and watch them in your free time. They are also yours to keep forever. </div><div style="text-align: center;">For those of you who are interested just <a href="http://creativelive.com/courses/digitalphotography/">follow this link</a>. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">This site also offers other classes on Photoshop, Aperture, Watercolor, Lightroom 3, etc. throughout the year. Check their calendar for the classes going on now. </div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">I would highly recommended this Digital Photography class for those of you who are starting out. Learning the basics first will save you lots of confusion later. </div><div style="text-align: center;">If you have any questions comment or email me. I will be happy to answer them for you.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

Looks like it is going to rain all day. </div><div style="text-align: center;">It was kinda funny when I went into my oldest sons room this morning he kinda wined to me, "Mommy, look out the window, it's raining and now I can't play in my pool today. I wanted to play in my pool today." I simply told him we could still have fun in the house playing with games, coloring, playing with dinosaurs, etc. He said, "ok." </div><div style="text-align: center;">I guess that answer made him happy and he wasn't worried about not being able to swim anymore. </div><div style="text-align: center;">What simple things make them happy, right?</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">So this past weekend was great. We did have some change of plans on Friday but they ended up working out great. My two boys spent Friday and all day Saturday with their Grandpa and Granny (Gus' parents.) Granny came to get them about 4 on Friday and they were gone until Saturday around 8 pm. So Gus and I were able to get a nice little break and spend more time then we had expected together on Saturday. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Friday nights dinner was great but who doesn't enjoy a meal from <a href="http://www.maggianos.com/">Maggiano's</a> every now and then? Gus did surprise me with his choice on dinner and we ended up sharing the Riggatoni "D" pasta dish with the Zucchini appetizer. It was excellent. We enjoyed our friends that were able to come and had a wonderful time all together. Afterwards the boys went to Dicks Sporting Goods and the girls headed to Kilwin's and Yoga-berry for dessert. Yummo! </div><div style="text-align: center;">Yes, even after all that food I managed to save room for dessert. I always do!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">We decided not to see the movie because we would have had to see a really late showing and we were not up for that. I would rather watch it in the comfort of our home anyway. So as for now we will wait. If anyone saw it this past weekend comment and let me know how it was. It is the Robin Hood movie that I mentioned in my <a href="http://busymommybuzz.blogspot.com/2010/05/special-day.html">Thursday and Friday</a> post. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Saturday Gus and I got to sleep in. Waahoo...</div><div style="text-align: center;">Although he still had to do the yard and I had to get the house ready for a showing all before noon we didn't stay in bed as late as we wanted but it was still nice. I don't think we can really sleep in anyways, our bodies have gotten so accustomed to getting up by a certain time the we practically fight our body to go back to sleep. After working in the house and yard we got ready and ended up at Biscotti's for lunch. After lunch we spent the afternoon running errands and ended home in just enough time for me to change and head out to my girls night. </div><div style="text-align: center;">I am sure Gus was excited about his relaxing evening ahead and although it didn't turn out just like he had planned he still managed to enjoy his evening. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">The girls night out was lots of fun. I think we can all say we had a wonderful fun filled evening. We did end up at the <a href="http://www.columbiarestaurant.com/">The Columbia</a> for dinner and then at <a href="http://www.kilwins.com/">Kilwin's</a> for dessert. I know, I did some serious damage with my sweets this weekend but it was all worth it. </div><div style="text-align: center;">If you haven't guessed I had a candied apple. Which I will only eat from Kilwin's. Mine was a caramel white chocolate cinnamon dipped apple. Yummy goodness... </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtAzPC10g4VwlVNLwWT8W1DNeK-lZ7p1UkUQ20tAsYLORmtLl2T0f5w1tlZZO895KqUeIoSvF9QQ5vNLcDTXH3A85DvazjsyJjpC1hGUUErytx3F_R9kafeDvghMUejQwy0D0gmDRzO7k/s1600/applepieapple.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtAzPC10g4VwlVNLwWT8W1DNeK-lZ7p1UkUQ20tAsYLORmtLl2T0f5w1tlZZO895KqUeIoSvF9QQ5vNLcDTXH3A85DvazjsyJjpC1hGUUErytx3F_R9kafeDvghMUejQwy0D0gmDRzO7k/s320/applepieapple.gif" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Sunday was church and then Sunday afternoon we had another house showing. The third one for the weekend. Which is actually a low number for us but hey--at least people are looking. </div><div style="text-align: center;">During that showing we went for a walk on the <a href="http://busymommybuzz.blogspot.com/2010/04/good-morning-monday.html">trail</a> and swam in our neighborhood pool afterwards to cool off. We ended the night grilling out and enjoyed watching our boys play together before bed. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Wooo.... What a weekend. We did stay busy but it was so much fun! </div><div style="text-align: center;">Hope you had a great weekend as well. If you get the chance, share with us what you did. I love to read all your comments! Have a great Monday and if you live near me, stay dry. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

He makes me so proud. I sound like a mom but honestly I am his #1 fan.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Yesterday I told you we were heading to dinner tonight and we are. We have reservations at Maggiano's and I already know what he is going to order, the Pesto Pasta dish. Although he may surprise me and have something else due to the fact that last night I cooked him his birthday dinner request. Ribs (taken from our Prime Rib on Sunday), pesto pasta (completely homemade), and veggies. Let me just tell you, I am no griller. I will leave that to him from now on. The meat was chard (I felt so bad) it just cooked faster then I thought. So Sorry! </div><div style="text-align: center;">He also wants to see the new <a href="http://www.robinhoodthemovie.com/">Robin Hood Movie</a>, which is coming out today. Can you say...PACKED...Yup, I am pretty sure it is going to be packed. So I may have to take him in a few weeks. You know--once the crowd dies down--I'll let you know on Monday what the final decisions was. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I am more in love with him today then when we got married. I didn't think it was possible. How can someone love someone more then when they get married? But they can. The longer your together, the more stuff you go through together, the deeper your love grows. I know this sounds mushy and all but it's the truth. I do think he is a wonderful Father and amazing Husband. What can I say?</div><div style="text-align: center;">Happy Birthday Gus! </div><div style="text-align: center;">I Love you!</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><br />

Share what your most looking forward to about this weekend.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I guess if I ask a question I should respond to it occasionally, huh? </div><div style="text-align: center;">My Weekend Ahead </div><div style="text-align: center;">Friday-Tomorrow- is my husbands birthday. He will be 31. I know--it's been a year since he was "over the hill." We are planning a dinner with some friends on Friday night and then enjoying the early part of Saturday as a family. Probably swimming in the pool or doing something active. With having boys you must be outside everyday if possible. I think it is in there blood. So the plan is to wear them out so they will be really good for Gus on Saturday evening. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"> What am I doing on Saturday and why am I leaving the kids and hubs??</div><div style="text-align: center;">Well a few weeks back some of the girls in my Sunday School class decided that the class needed to have a girls night out. Who doesn't need one of these, right? So they planned and schemed on how we could all leave our children with the hubby's and they have done a great job. Although we will have to repay them with a guys night out here in a few weeks. I think sometime around Father's Day. How fitting, right? Well even the men need some manly time. </div><div style="text-align: center;">I am looking forward to the afternoon and evening with the girls. </div><div style="text-align: center;">As of now the plan is to head down to St. Augustine from about 4:30-11 and I think we are eating at the <a href="http://www.columbiarestaurant.com/st_augustine.asp">Columbia Restaurant</a>. After that I am not sure what the plan is but I know we will have an enjoyable time. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Now if you know me, you know I am not going to leave my poor husband to fend for himself completely. I am planning on leaving him with a somewhat ready dinner. If you have boys you know that they love to eat and that they are always hungry, so the only way to make sure they eat well is to cook it myself. Actually that's not entirely true though for my husband. He loves to cook and is pretty good at it, if I might say so myself. Although he may insist on adding a personal touch to it by making the meat or something himself. I guess the boys can bond out by the grill. Isn't that where they always congregate anyway?</div><div style="text-align: center;">Now that I am just rambling on I should probably end this post for now. I'm sure each of you have some kind of plan for the weekend, even if it is working around the house. Have fun and enjoy....</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

You have probably already heard or read about this but I thought I will still share anyway... Just in case. </div><div style="text-align: center;">It really only pertains to moms of children who wear pampers diapers. To everyone else.... Hang in there til tomorrow.</div><div style="text-align: center;">My kids wear pampers so when I heard about this the other day I started to read about it. Here is some literature on what the CPSC has investigated. If you need more info please <a href="http://www.fda.gov/default.htm">Click Here</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"></div>Fri, May 7, 2010(HealthDay News) -- Reports that new types of Pamper diapers can cause serious rashes are being investigated by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.<br />
The agency decided to look into the issue after receiving a handful of complaints that babies and toddlers had suffered severe and persistent rashes and blisters that resemble chemical burns, the <i>Associated Press</i> reported.<br />
The new versions of Swaddlers and Cruisers diapers, which were introduced to the United States in March, use Dry Max technology instead of the paper pulp used in older versions. Cincinnati-based Proctor and Gamble says the new diapers are safe.<br />
"There is no evidence from the people that have called us -- or from the research that we have done -- that a single baby has experienced a skin safety issue as a result of our Pampers with Dry Max," the company said in a statement, the <i>AP</i> reported.<br />
The CPSC investigation is in the early stages and wants parents to report any problems with the diapers. "We would like parents and caregivers to report to CPSC if they feel that their baby has been affected by this issue," he said. "It's so important for it to come directly to us," said CPSC spokesman Scott Wolfson.<br />
<br />
Report a problem with Pampers or other children's product to the CPSC by visiting their <a href="http://www.cpsc.gov/talk.html">website</a> <br />

You know I love food and I love to eat so when I talk about food I light up and get really excited. </div><div style="text-align: center;"> This morning I am going to share with you Banana Bread Waffles top with Banana Foster Sauce. Yup. You heard me right.<br />
These things were inspired by our trip to the cape. They are out of this world yummy goodness. It’s a one-waffle-per-person kind of breakfast. Eat more than one and you’ll be waddling away from the table. Don’t say you weren’t warned. These babies are dense and heavy but oh-so-totally delicious. Let's just say these waffles are a much more interesting way to eat your banana bread. Topped with that Banana Foster syrup you are going to be in waffle heaven.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9jvdU_R406wRPvYdLs-cXS6xY4vg0IDDYtbtk-HrSm6jm5R6Ml_UuS6RTRLZsWhgpbnEmBhFu-eZieDcLtPO2sPxeVZVTNKNw4iwKjaxwiKjNE7AhFHqXbhUejWDN9R-hlF50hQ0iNCM/s1600/waffles.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9jvdU_R406wRPvYdLs-cXS6xY4vg0IDDYtbtk-HrSm6jm5R6Ml_UuS6RTRLZsWhgpbnEmBhFu-eZieDcLtPO2sPxeVZVTNKNw4iwKjaxwiKjNE7AhFHqXbhUejWDN9R-hlF50hQ0iNCM/s320/waffles.jpg" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Waffle Ingredients</b><br />
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted<br />
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons milk<br />
1 teaspoon vanilla extract<br />
2 cups all-purpose flour<br />
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar, packed<br />
1 1/2 teaspoons yeast<br />
1/2 teaspoon salt<br />
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon<br />
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg<br />
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger<br />
Pinch of ground clove <br />
2 eggs, beaten lightly<br />
1 cup mashed ripe banana, about 3 whole<br />
2 tablespoons sour cream or greek yogurt</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">In a small bowl, whisk together the butter, milk and vanilla. Set aside, the mixture should be warm but not hot. </div><div style="text-align: left;">In a large mixing bowl, sift or whisk together the flour, brown sugar, yeast, salt and spices. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry, whisking until smooth. Stir in the beaten eggs. Cover the bowl loosely with cling-film and refrigerate for at least 12 hours, but up to 24.</div><div style="text-align: left;">About 30 minutes before you want to make waffles, take the batter out of the refrigerator to come up to room temperature slightly. It should be doubled in size and the surface will be covered in bubbles. </div><div style="text-align: left;">When ready to begin, stir the sour cream into the mashed bananas and then mix the banana mix into the batter. It will deflate, but use a light, quick hand to thoroughly combine.</div><div style="text-align: left;">Heat your waffle iron and bake the waffles as per the manufacturer's instruction.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Syrup Topping:</b> </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">1 stick butter</div><div style="text-align: left;">1/2 cup brown sugar</div><div style="text-align: left;">4 bananas peeled and halved, cut lengthwise</div><div style="text-align: left;">Rum Extract from the baking area. I wouldn't use but 1-2 tablespoons at the most. Just pour to taste. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"> </div><div> <!--concordance-end--> </div><div style="text-align: left;"> Melt butter in a large skillet. Add brown sugar and stir together. Add rum extract and mix. Add the bananas and cook until caramelized over medium-high heat. Then Serve.</div>Enjoy this yummy goodness. <br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Also.....</div><div style="text-align: center;">This morning words can not describe how thankful I am. I am not at liberty to discuss details but my husbands work has some changes going on and as of now he still has a job. So today I am very thankful. </div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
Please pray for us and his job and that we continue to have strength through whatever God's plan is for us. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

I know mine was. We enjoyed the entire weekend relaxing, spending time with the kids, visiting with our moms and thanking the Lord for all he has done for us. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I know I am not perfect... I have alot of imperfections but with the Lords help I can be a women, wife, and mom that exemplifies Christ. I have such a desire to train my children in the way of the Lord. I pray that they will come to know Christ as their personal Saviour. It is a huge responsibility we have and I pray I do not take it lightly. One thing's for sure, with two boys to raise my task will not be easy, I am bound to mess up along the way. It will not always be served with a cherry on top but this is the path the Lord has for me. I am to love, train, discipline, guide and instill God's truth into my children. It is comforting to know that God will be holding my hand along the way and loving me through it it all. </div><div style="text-align: center;">I pray that I will allow God to constantly show me areas that I need to work on, in order to be the kind of mother, wife, and woman of God that He has intended.</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"> I'm reminded of the wonderful grace that God provides. I'm thankful for the salvation He has given me. And I'm thankful for the opportunity to be a mom...</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
Hope you enjoyed your Mother's Day. And don't forget, "Mother's Day shouldn't just be one day of the year we show appreciation to our Moms. It should be everyday."<br />

I am sure you are all saying, "It is about time." </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I tend to ramble and show way more pictures then what people are interested in, so I decided that today will be the last post on our trip. I also won't bore you with all the little details of our really good dinners. I am sure you are thanking me right now.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This was a little bookstore/restaurant that we stopped at while on our drive through the Cape. The food was average but every other meal we had while on our trip was amazing so I guess one dish could be average. I wish I would have taken pictures of our favorite meals but I am sad to say I didn't. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5FNABB-2S-J4CSMKEpVjI_bznWTcG00ti9YeDyqzZFaMECiIF6ZNdOkLCDx6ArM-u7SPak99XmGssywFUsTDvSrypNK4U61XIFE_QBSH3tIWBKOBUxIBg3iz26uXdN5vaLEGQGzDwWX4/s1600/DSC_0275.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5FNABB-2S-J4CSMKEpVjI_bznWTcG00ti9YeDyqzZFaMECiIF6ZNdOkLCDx6ArM-u7SPak99XmGssywFUsTDvSrypNK4U61XIFE_QBSH3tIWBKOBUxIBg3iz26uXdN5vaLEGQGzDwWX4/s320/DSC_0275.JPG" /></a></div><br />

This restaurant was our favorite of them all. It was a Tuscan style restaurant and we both enjoyed homemade pasta dishes and a dessert from this place. The owner/chef and his wife ran the restaurant as well as made all the food from scratch. It was just a perfect little romantic place to end our last night.<br />

This might be deceiving with looks but the taste was--well--I think the best pizza I have had in a long time, so this last piece didn't last long. <br />

I know your thinking--few-- this is not a few but I can't narrow them down very well--as you can see. I have one last post tomorrow with food and shopping pictures to show you. After that I think I will be done but for today here are pictures from the beaches and lighthouses we visited. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is the first beach we attempted to walk on. Due to them working on the ramp and stairs down to the beach they had the beach access closed off. This is one of the thirteen lighthouses on the Cape.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfwin7GErPxDsL7ae9SxH5sZdCldx7e4FZ4dWlGWyVdgN1oieHEVBmBl788iMn5kkMqljN-efUHJ_L00EHhHPEdD3YbZbdhzbS4Db7wI9FFI4VjDAJQ7Qu9N81iJZmJlhDgc9W0Q-NOt4/s1600/DSC_0183.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfwin7GErPxDsL7ae9SxH5sZdCldx7e4FZ4dWlGWyVdgN1oieHEVBmBl788iMn5kkMqljN-efUHJ_L00EHhHPEdD3YbZbdhzbS4Db7wI9FFI4VjDAJQ7Qu9N81iJZmJlhDgc9W0Q-NOt4/s320/DSC_0183.JPG" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is Gus--as if you couldn't guess--just gazing out on the beauty and calmness of the morning water.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8kvTrEvuEZTZVuTV-DO_IdQBDbRX9oCgo3QZFF4DzrQEy-7CeKpshbyQTYocUX7bw0t9A1br_3xBfJaG0Jo-LkcE_7FgH6zT9_mhTqXCGV3wLrDPTxFbCG6aFgdrd7Pep3zeOZX_SZto/s1600/DSC_0176.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8kvTrEvuEZTZVuTV-DO_IdQBDbRX9oCgo3QZFF4DzrQEy-7CeKpshbyQTYocUX7bw0t9A1br_3xBfJaG0Jo-LkcE_7FgH6zT9_mhTqXCGV3wLrDPTxFbCG6aFgdrd7Pep3zeOZX_SZto/s320/DSC_0176.JPG" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This next beach was in my opinion the prettiest beach of them all. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Today's post is a pick up from yesterdays <a href="http://busymommybuzz.blogspot.com/2010/05/back-to-good-olelife.html">Back to the good ole...Life</a>. Basically I will show you pictures and tell you short versions of mine and my hubby's vacation from this past weekend.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">So onto our trip. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Our trip was from Friday Morning April 30th-Monday Night May 3rd. We visited all of Cape Cod and some of Boston. It was neat visiting all the little towns and seeing what each of them had to offered but we did cover alot of ground in that short time. Some of the towns were established as early as the 1600's. Which was really interesting to see.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Here are some pictures to go along with our trip....Well alot of pictures. I will post in parts each day so I don't overload you with them all. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">We stayed at a place called Captains House Inn. It was located a few blocks from the ocean on 2 acres in Chatham, New England. It was absolutely gorgeous, romantic, peaceful, and the service and breakfast was always excellent. Each morning the chef/owner/innkeeper made an outstanding breakfast, each afternoon they served tea, and in the evening they had cookies, tea, and coffee.
